Guidance On Every Step of the Way
Psychological assessment
Assessments can be tailored to suit the needs of your child and will focus on the strengths and needs of your child. All assessments will start with a phone / online consultation or face to face consultation to plan and discuss the assessment, and to make sure your child is put at ease. Assessments can be tailored to cover learning difficulties, emotional well-being and mental health concerns, attention / hyperactivity difficulties, social interaction / social communication needs and autism.
Phone / Online Consultation
Often, having a consultation can be the most useful starting point in understanding your child's needs and strengths. Booking an initial consultation will give you time to talk about your concerns and to help problem-solve some of the issues which are raised. Consultations always conclude with an 'action plan' and brief report that can be shared with your child's school.
Workplace Training
We also offer a range of workplace training which can be tailored to the audience (for example, school staff, social workers, health care professionals, parents / carers). We are experienced in running both face to face and online training covering a range of topics including:
anxiety
using CBT approaches
understanding autism
literacy difficulties
ADHD
sensory needs

School Consultation Session
In addition to the offer from the local authority, schools may wish to seek additional time from an educational psychologist to support a range of 1-1 assessment needs, group work or training. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your needs further.
