Common Queries
Do you offer a free initial consultation?
Yes - it is important that you feel you are choosing the right service. I offer a free 15 minute consultation to discuss if the service is right for you and to explain any next steps. Please contact me to arrange.
How long does each consultation session take?
Consultations are normally for an hour. A short report will also be produced as a record of the consultation, and this is included in the price of the consultation.
What happens in an assessment
This depends on the focus of the assessment, but normally, an assessment will start with a consultation to gather information and agree the content of the assessment. Then, an online or face to face meeting with your child to gain their thoughts and views, and to carry out any standardised assessments that may be necessary. I may also want to observe your child playing or interacting with others. After the assessment, usually a day or two later, we will meet again online or face to face to discuss the outcomes of the assessment and any recommendations coming from these. A report is included in the price of the assessment which can then be shared.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
Yes - we offer reduced rates to families receiving certain benefits / reduced income. Please contact us if this is something you would like more information on.
